«I came to Mario after some disappointing experiences with other teachers/schools. Having said that there are good musicians out there (and Mario is certainly a really good one), what I have often noticed is that a good musician does not necessarily also know how to be a good teacher. Mario, on the other hand, proved to be an excellent teacher with rare qualities. First of all, he is a GENEROUS teacher who spares no expense for his students. Then he also knows how to be versatile and proactive as he is capable of changing direction in his study method when he understands that there is a need. The fact of combining theory (always supported by written material) with practice with the study of famous or even less famous songs chosen with the student is excellent. What has never been found in other teachers is the habit of leaving the student a film with a summary of the things covered during the lesson so that they can then film them independently at home. Really thank you Mario!»

«I've been going to Mario's lessons for 4 years, and I've been playing the guitar for 24 years now. I met Mario through his website, I called him and I remember that right from the start he was available to meet my study needs and my absurd lesson times. Mario is the real guitarist, he has a real, safe technique and has experience in many genres, but with me he adapted to my repertoire needs which are blues, finger style, rock & roll, and jazz. However, the thing that is helping me the most, I must say, is the method of technique that Mario manages to make me digest and do continuously despite my aversion to anything that isn't a catchy melody. I believe the secret of Mario's success is that with him in class you really have fun, you open up, and you manage to overcome your limits... and so, at your own pace, you get results and grow in technique, but also in taste. Mario, you're great!, congratulations and above all, see you in class!"

«For over 5 years Mario has entertained me and my daughter (first a child, now a teenager!) with guitar and bass in private lessons! I owe it to him above all to have managed to keep my daughter involved with serious teaching on the one hand (Mario is a real musician!) but always playful and joking on the other, the winning formula for adults and children, or for adults who have never grown up....! I then also threw myself into the bands of his association, ... and the fun continues to grow.»

«Very good at teaching, capable of involving the person he teaches with and very available when faced with requests and questions from his students. Great professional Super Mario"

«I'm no longer a boy.... I started playing again after 20 years of inactivity. I had decided that by now, if I wanted to have a chance to start again... I couldn't risk it and I had to find a good teacher.... and I was lucky in finding Mario. Mario has that knowledge of music and the instrument that is needed to create "unconventional" educational paths. Adapting them to your needs. I have reached difficult moments many times.... but Mario's best skill is that of knowing how to change the scenario, always creating new motivations. I have progressed in the technique, I have understood many things about modal harmony, I am able, with Mario's guidance, to harmonize the standards by performing them with very appropriate chords. Three years ago I started playing in a Big Band (Dixieland and swing) and I was able to put what I learned to good use... and the discussion continues by trying to obtain an improvisational ability which is somewhat of my limit. What's wrong is my lack of time... even now that I no longer work, my family and the numerous activities I have undertaken absorb me 95%... but I have to take care of this. Mario just has to continue to demonstrate that he has superior patience..... and continue to provide me with ideas and motivation.»

«What can I say, now I have known/been Mario's student for 8 years and more than a teacher for me he is a friend with whom I meet weekly to play everything; I started with rock and continued with jazz. Mario gave me both the technical and theoretical foundations to progress with my electric guitar studies adequately without any flaws! I highly recommend Mario to anyone looking for a good teacher who is above all open to kids and friendly.»

«The pleasure of knowing Mario is not limited only to his undeniable professional skills but also to his human qualities: patient, intelligent, sensitive and friendly! I have been following his lessons for more than a year and although my mediocre guitar skills would discourage any teacher, this is not the case with him: always attentive to my technical evolutions and ready to encourage me and shape the lesson to avoid boredom or a loss of attention. I sincerely recommend it to anyone who wants to meet a Maestro, a rarity these days.»

«I studied for 4 years with Maestro Pelagatti and if he succeeded in the impossible mission of extracting a decent guitarist from a forty-year-old without musical foundations it will mean something. He is a patient teacher and an undoubtedly prepared guitarist who knows how to modulate his lessons based on the person in front of him and his needs. As far as I'm concerned, highly recommended."

«I have been Mario's student for some time now. What can I say, despite the "wooden" student in front of him he always finds a way to approach the lesson in such a way as to add a piece to the learning.... and to do this it takes PREPARATION AND PASSION, which Mario also manages to transmit to his students.... some absorb both... passion for sure everyone...!!!»

«Excellent teacher and excellent musician (as well as an exquisite person). The lessons are pleasant and well calibrated to specific individual needs and characteristics. Maximum availability (and patience). and great competence, without useless and excessive technical displays (the kind that only serve to make the student uncomfortable...). Let's say that if I now play against Joe Pass I basically owe it to him ;-)"

«I have been going to Mario's lessons for a year and I am very happy with it. Mario is very well prepared, flexible with his hours (which is very convenient for a worker like me), and very nice. One of his great qualities is the ability to give very intensive lessons, without making them too demanding, but rather fun. I also find the material that they leave me at the end of the lesson very convenient, such as a small video of the main points of the lesson, so that I can watch them to study at home.»

«At 32 years old it occurred to me to learn to play the guitar among the thousand difficulties that age brings with it... She called me, looked at me and I turned my back on her, perhaps out of fear or shame... Well, for a few weeks I said to myself: - enough is enough! My journey begins and I have to give it my all! Mario is an incredibly patient person (and with me he helps :-)..), nice and helpful, as well as being an exemplary teacher and this is not for everyone. Now on with the exercises! »

«I believe that there are two categories of teachers (of guitar and otherwise): those, although good, who transmit their science without any distinction between those who receive it. And those capable of adapting the module to the personality of those who want to learn, without forgetting anything. Mario belongs to this second, decidedly superior category. I was impressed by his ability to understand me after just a couple of hours of lessons, and to modulate the teaching method accordingly, stimulating the desire to learn. This is why I believe that what you learn with Mario you never forget. Even now, after I had to interrupt lessons due to my own problems, when I think I have discovered something new about the 6 strings I realize that, in reality, I am just re-emerging a teaching from Mario. Long LIve Mario!»

«Even though I have only known him for a few months, I can confirm the positive opinions about Mario regarding his competence, sensitivity and ability to understand the real teaching needs of the student. All combined with considerable technical expertise and a vast musical culture that ranges across different musical genres. Ultimately...the maturity of the most expert musician and teacher with the enthusiasm of the boy (which he is).»

«I followed Mario's lessons from December 2013 to December 2014. I was starting from scratch, I had never played even a C major chord. after 12 months, attending an average of three hours a month, thanks to Mario's guidance, I managed to play several songs by the following groups: U2, Cold Play, Green Day, Beatles, Cat Stevens, Oasis and others. What can I say, I would never have imagined obtaining these results. The syncopation exercises were very useful, and above all playing together with Mario (he on drums), very useful exercises for the timing and squaring of musical phrases. In addition to Mario's excellent professional and teaching skills, I underline his availability, patience and friendliness which contributed a lot to making the lessons very pleasant.»

«What about Mario... he is a great guitar master. Not only is he a "technician" of music and of the guitar in particular, but he is an acute 360° connoisseur of it. What stands out most from Mario's teaching method is the ability to adapt the teaching path based on the student's abilities and expectations... and what patience he has!. To conclude, he is a great guitarist, very versatile, and a true friend.»

«After many years of studying the guitar, without any noticeable improvements, I decided it was time to do something and in the meantime introduce my 11 year old son to the instrument I love. In addition to an excellent technique and his innate abilities which are supreme, Mario's qualities are patience (and in our case we need a lot of it), clarity of exposition, availability and the ability to make even the most hermetic theory or the most intricate riff easy. In these two years, Mario has managed to give me the right stimuli again, to better focus my studies on technique, rhythm and repertoire and, at the same time, to involve my son, giving us a common hobby that will allow us to have fun together in the years to come.»

«What can we say about Mario, he is everything an aspiring guitarist can find to grow both as an amateur and as a professional. «With a method of small steps that are actually big (but you don't notice), with Mario maestro I went from self-taught strumming to a decent ability to play. Let's be clear: the guitar is not an easy instrument no matter what anyone says.....so there is still a long way to go. His secret? the program is designed and based on the student's aptitudes and musical interests. Let's be clear, it also focuses on your weak points but without judging you on your difficulties, on the natural limits of your neurons without excess stress. Each of us learns some aspects more easily and others struggle more. Everyone is different. The fact is that Mario sees the limit and certainly doesn't ignore it. But on the other hand he is ready to grasp the interests that arise and immediately go! it places you with the raucous songs of musicians you thought were unapproachable..... complete with essential and synthetic theoretical frameworks that are easily understandable. Then it's up to you to decide the speed of progress. The level of commitment is up to you, whether you practice 3 hours a day or 3 hours a week. If you study theory manuals or if you just stare at them hoping that they will enter your brain telepathically. It is from you, student, that the impulse must arise.... and when it comes you know that the Master is ready to grasp it and make the most of it. like an expert sailor Mario immediately maneuvers the sails when he sees the water rippling on the horizon: when the wind arrives he is ready to make the most of it.»

«To define him as an exquisite person with great patience is perhaps an understatement. From a musical point of view...what can I say hearing him play is just a pleasure...everything seems so easy and natural. But then it makes you understand that it's not easy and in doing so it offers you all the tools to best tackle each step. All calmly, without haste and with a smile on your face. In short, a great one."

«Mario has the great ability to push his students not only to "study at home", but to find reasons for interest and study in everything he teaches. Of what I learned with him, half were lessons, half were topics that he pushed me to explore on my own and that I internalized."

«I'm a rocker who likes dirty sounds, wrong pentatonics, guitars destroyed and set on fire on stage. I've always loved learning music by myself, no rules, no boring exercises, just playing what I like and that's it. But since I became Mario's student, I have discovered a fantastic musician who understands my goals and is behind me, opening my mind towards musical horizons never explored before. Thanks Mario. You are number one. Listening to your lessons and your music is always a pleasure.»

«I started playing the guitar relatively late, without having a solid musical foundation. I contacted Mario (almost by chance, I read his advert on the internet) and decided to try some lessons with him. Result: after two years I have no intention of stopping. I would recommend everyone to give it a try, you always have time to give up, and a couple of lessons are enough to understand why his teaching is valid. The lesson is built together, based on the student's interests, and if these are confused or multiple (as in my case) Mario is a valid help in extricating himself: he has vast knowledge (both theoretical and as an experienced musician) and makes it available. After two years of playing guitar I can do a lot of things that I didn't think I could do in such a short time. Write him an email and go for a chat and a trial lesson, you'll see that you'll come back!»

«Mario's approach to teaching music is fantastic, he is able to immediately understand who is in front of him and adapt the lesson accordingly. «I was looking online for a teacher to take guitar lessons in Milan and I was very impressed by this web page and by the comments left by other students. I decided to try. Never was a more appropriate choice. So I can only confirm what has already been said by others: great technique, dedication, predisposition to teaching, sensitivity and sympathy. I got on very well with Mario and immediately noticed progress. Of course, the road would still be long for me, but his teachings were fundamental in understanding where I could get to. Great Mario!»

«When I reached the threshold of 45, I wanted to pick up the instrument "left behind" 25 years earlier. A great challenge and a great anguish given the goals I had set for myself: to play like Wes! Jokes aside, after two years of lessons with Mario I don't sound like Wes but I'm starting to understand why he played those notes there: Mario puts you to the test technically but not only does he open up mental spaces for you to understand with harmony where you can go beyond the instrument while respecting your musical sensitivity and all with great kindness and a patience that has no limits. Thanks Mario.»

«To enhance the ability of my music teacher it is appropriate to know that I am a student over 60 years old who has been picking up a guitar for the first time for three years. I owe to him the growth in me of a musical sensitivity that I didn't think I possessed. My project with him for next year is to analytically define all the various types of chords, improve the execution of the relative rhythms and consciously experience the potential of my guitar. «Mario is the best guitar teacher I've had. I play as a hobby and he manages to give me "tailor-made" guitar lessons that also take into account family and work commitments. He is trained in different styles (from jazz to blues to pop) and also teaches theory very well. Always punctual and helpful, he is also friendly (which doesn't hurt). Mario, in addition to being very good, in my opinion, also has a teaching method, which is rare around me it seems, and offers useful and captivating preparatory exercises. Unfortunately I was incompetent and didn't have time to play at home but despite this I learned. «When I decided to start playing the acoustic guitar around the age of 30, I couldn't have found a better teacher than Mario! Searching the internet I came across his site and was struck by the enthusiastic comments left by his students on this guestbook... Well, after a couple of years, I am happy to join them to confirm that my expectations have not been disappointed, on the contrary! Mario is a rare combination of great talent, professionalism, availability and friendliness! The only thing that displeases you, starting in my case from a beginner level, is not being able to take full advantage of its technical and artistic potential; but from the first lessons he enriches the practical study, as well as with notions of theory, with stylistic-executive devices, and so in a short time you find yourself playing your favorite pieces with a slightly "performer" touch! Thanks Mario, THUMBS UP FOR YOU!»
